Partitioning HD - Quicksilver
Posted by: LaPorta on 2022-04-20 15:06:27
I realized that I have need for both 10.3 and 10.4 on my Quicksilver. I currently have both main and OS 9 partitions on my 1 TB HD. I don't want to have to start all over installing and customizing my 10.3 partition, but I would like to have a third partition on the HD for 10.4. It appears that I cannot carve out a new partition from these two (I forget what system you started being able to do that), so I guess I have to make a bootable copy of the HD. My question is what is the best tool to do this? I seem to remember that Disk Utility will not make a bootable image.

If you're running 10.4 then you could use Carbon Copy Cloner V3

Won't run on 10.3?
