| G4 cube vrm alternatives? |

Dear all,
the G4 cube VRM module is out of stock at Artmix. Are there any alternatives out there?

No - there is nothing else around. The Gigdesign C-VRM was the same at the Artmix one IIRC.
If concerned about the reliability of the Cube VRM, you can add heatsinks to the MOSFETs and there is another mod to add 2 x more MOSFETs to the board (go through Wayback Archive of CubeOwner forums). |

I've had two VRM modules on order with Artmix for a few months now. When I heard from him in February, he said "April or May" for new stock. |

I asked about the status of these and was told that it'll be "a few more months." So, who knows when (or if) the Artmix VRM will ever be available again. I was initially told end of December, then late January, then late March, April or May, and now... July?
Price has moved up significantly, too. When I ordered in December it was $169. Now it's $219. |

Update: The Artmix VRM units that I ordered in December, 2021 and March, 2022 have finally shipped via Japan Post! Expecting delivery this week or next.
If you still need a VRM upgrade for your Cube, this could be a good time to order one. |
