| Macintosh SE/30 System 7.5.3 & 8.1 HDA image for ROM upgraded Macs | |
| Posted by: appleg33k85 on 2022-03-25 06:54:51 Good Morning, I have seen quite a few tutorials on how to install System 7.5.3 & 8.1 so I decided to create my own HDA image that will work on a bluescsi (and possibly other such devices) that will work for an SE/30 with an upgraded ROM (such as the MACSIMM or BMOW). The image has not been optimized in any way but has been tested to work on BASILISK II (set to Quadra 900), and a Macintosh with both a BMOW or MACSIMM. I wanted to share so that the community could work on optimizations (such as removing unnecessary boot items) and cleaning up the image. It does have some apps & games installed along with a few other software installs to work with my setup (such as the Ethernet card I have installed). I'm not sure the best place to upload the image so I've currently placed it at the following link, but if there is a better place to distribute please let me know. Hope this helps others in their quest for the ultimate SE/30 systems!
