| Patched Hard Disk .HDA File for Blue SCSI System 8.1 for the SE/30? |

Has anyone created an image for the SE/30 w a Rominator in it that has the patching that enables it to work with System 8.1 and 7.5.3? Ive comfortable recapping and creating images but I can just tell im going to screw this up somehow. Anyway, if anyone has those one or both images that work with the various Hack Roms id be very appreciative! |

I'll try to get one working tonight, shouldn't be too bad to do and will give me an excuse to fire up the SE/30! |

Yeah there are instructions on the web on getting 8.1 working w a Rominator or other non-stock ROM but I fiddled my brain to mush earlier this week trying to get other SCSI solutions to work. I'll send you something cool if you can get it working! |

Should just need the Born Again 1.1 patch, when creating the 8.1 install that will be used with the ROM SIMM... 7.5.3 runs on a bone stock SE/30, so no patching needed for that one. |

I could patch mi 7.5.5 image to use the ROMinator and testing 8.1 would be quite cool |

I wonder if that's even possible, as it says here that it requires a 68040
EDIT: I saw now about "Born Again"... So if anyone has such image, definitely I'd like to know.

I used it in 2001 to install 8.1 on a IIsi. Was pokey, but it worked. I did max out the RAM on said machine to 65MB, then added a larger hard drive (used a LPS270S Quantum). |

It's true that 7.5.3 boots on a stock SE/30 without patching, if you use one of the 32-bit rom-simms (I use a GGLabs not Rominator, but probably the same rom in the end...) you actually do need to do a resedit patch of the System file and System Update file to get it to play nice. |
