| Supercharge your eMac! |
Posted by: alectrona6400 on 2022-03-24 07:18:09 I am absolutely not responsible for any damage to your Apple eMac. Whatever you did is not my fault, it is yours. I myself have damaged some parts by sheer mistake and rush. Something like this takes a lot of patience and a good pair of eyes.

Posted by: alectrona6400 on 2022-03-24 10:58:41 I'd like to make some corrections here.
-Your overclock is deemed unstable EVEN IF YOU HAVE tried HDD, different OS, and known good RAM. I also would not recommend overclocking an eMac with faulty capacitors.
-Not exactly sure if G4s have thermal throttling on desktops.
-Certain late production ATI Graphics eMacs do not support Mac OS 9 by default and you will have to use the MacOS9Lives CD.
-Low geekbench scores can also be caused by the version of Geekbench you're running. 2.2 gave me an 890 on the 1.92 eMac while 2.2.7 gave me 1090.
If you're following through, good luck and enjoy your accelerated eMac! |
Posted by: vivekanto on 2023-08-18 13:44:30 Hi, I have an eMac and tried to overclock it. Now when I turn it on, it just chimes and the white led lights up. Screen is dead. I wanted to revert it to original configuration. Can you pls tell me what is it. Attaching the pic. |

Can you pls tell me what is it. Attaching the pic. Sorry I'm late, completely forgot this thread existed. Seemingly you've overclocked to 1.33GHz; unfortunately these can't always reach speeds that high, so you should try 1.266. |
Posted by: alectrona6400 on 2024-03-13 08:56:02 ATI graphics eMacs may not be able to reach 1.33GHz due to issues involving weaker VRMs or badly binned chips. I just got my 1GHz ATI model to 1.266GHz and its perfectly stable. The 7445s run WAY hotter than 7447s do! |
Posted by: sebaskitten on 2025-10-17 14:02:45 Do you happen to know where i could measure current vcore to make sure it's running at the expected figures? |
