OSX Alternative for HFVExplorer?

A while back somebody mentioned a relatively new OSX tool for opening and viewing the contents of HFS disk images; basically an OSX equivalent of the venerable HFVExplorer on Windows. For the life of me I can't find this now, and my Google searches are failing. Can anyone help? I see there's HFSExplorer https://www.catacombae.org/hfsexplorer/ but can't remember if this was what I'd heard about. It's a Java tool and the installation process seems cumbersome, probably not something I'd be comfortable recommending to other people.

HFSExplorer is the only one I know of. There is no install, you just download the files and double-click /bin/explorer to run.

It would be nice if there was a more standard Mac app wrapper of it.

I can recommend hfs utils on OS X, too. Very capable and easy to use.
