| Portable (5120) Display Caps - Questions |

Has anyone replaced the caps for the 5120 display? What are the symptoms of these capacitors failing? (I don't think I have any display issues, but I haven't replaced these caps yet and am curious about the real need to do so...) |

If I recall, there are one or two standard radial electrolytics. I likely have the ratings written in my notebook. |

I don't think anyone has ever needed to recap these yet. If you are seeing lines on the screen, it's probably something on the logic board, and if not, just a defective screen (which might be able to be repaired). |
