Unfortunately, even though they're lower in height than the ROM SIMM it came with, I find that the last SIMM snags consistently on the metal lip of the cage above it as I insert the motherboard and comes loose.
Questions:
- Is there anything I can do to avoid this?
- If not, are there lower profile 16MB SIMMs available new that *do* fit?
- It says elsewhere that 4x16MB in Bank A is not a supported configuration, which I can confirm - however, this *does* work with a Rominator SIMM installed. I'm intending to use this machine with a Carrera 040 card, though - will that clash with the Romainator?
Thanks! | Posted by: Aeroform on 2022-03-08 23:55:34 What are the physical dimensions of the sims? When you insert the mb, do you place it in the cutouts and swivel it in?
I have both a set of Keystrons and Purpleram, both fit without issue. | Posted by: smrieck511 on 2023-03-13 11:42:38

Thanks! Curious if you got this to fit with all 8 OWC Simms as this is what I'm planning to do with my SE/30. Thanks. | | 1 |
