| IIci burn-in connector? |

Hi all!
Just wondering if anyone knows what the "burn-in" connector is used for? Is it a way to test the Mainboard? On the schematics its marked as J24. Would be inetresting to know since I don't find much about what it was used for.

Yes, used at the factory to test the board. Lots of Apple boards had them. If there was a fault, it would be repaired at the factory. |

Would one be able to create a diagnotics harness of some kind for Mac boards using that connector? Do these connection have different names since I can't find much searching for the burn-in connector? Thanks again for your reply! |

@TechGuyVincent They are just edge pins, I don't think there's a name for the connector, I'm going to guess it was a custom Apple thing as they made this for testing in the factory.
What sort of diagnostics are you wanting to do? Checking voltages can be done easily enough from the floppy connector or directly on the PCB. |
