| This 68040 CPU that I bought on eBay has a missing pin |

Unsure if it came like this or if I lost a pin somehow removing it either from the foam it was embedded in or the socket when I inserted and tested it.
The pin is “TDI”. The socket is clean, the board is clean (of phantom pins) and I can’t seem to see a pin in the foam block.
Using Norton System Info it passes tests like this as does Speedometer.
Could this pin serve no function on the Mac or will it eventually crash when doing something ?
It’s a full 68040 with FPU and it runs just fine. Thoughts? Help? |

Thank you for confirming. That’s what I’ve been told as well. Basically used at the factory and nowhere else. Looks like I’m incredibly lucky it was just that pin. |
