I see the worke bolle has done as well as the hdmi nubus card thread so I assume they are available somewhere? I put in one of my good cards the other day only to find it not working and when I pulled it out I found I had crunched one of the pins badly. 🙁 Not super excited about replacing the socket on my card but I'm even less excited about my card never working again. Any ideas?
Thanks! | Posted by: olePigeon on 2022-01-14 09:29:11 @macuserman I believe you'll want a 3 row 96 position euro DIN 41612 right angle male connector. They're available for between $5 and $10 at most of the electronics websites like Mouser. Double check it's 96 position and not 64 or 32, and that it's 3 rows and not 4 or 2. Only issue I'm having looking at the stock is determining if it's a male or female connector.
I found this one. I think it's the one you want, but hopefully someone else can verify:
Molex brand, 3 rows, 96 position, DIN 41612, right angle, male connector. $4.10 + tax & shipping. | Posted by: Melkhior on 2022-01-14 10:03:23 The reference I have in eeschema for NuBusFPGA is 85003-0567 (or 85003-0177 with no fixing clip), it seems to be the right one to me but I haven't tried for real yet. They are not obsolete, unlike the -7005. No luck finding a document documenting the 85003 family and what all those suffixes actually mean...
Edit: Mouser doesn't flag them as obsolete, but Digikey does...
Edit 2: I think the proper Digikey search is this one. | Posted by: Melkhior on 2022-01-14 10:52:10

Edit 2: I think the proper Digikey search is this one. Actually, neither of the two NuBus board I have on hand have 'mounting clips' on the connector it seems, though one has the plated hole on the PCB. So you may want to change 'Features' from 'Mounting Clips' to '-' if you need one without clips... | | 1 |
