IIe motherboard standoffs (plastic clips)
Posted by: Mirokai on 2021-11-19 07:16:48
Hello guys. I had to remove the motherboard in a IIe to address the corrosion below it.
Unfortunately some of the plastic standoffs were very brittle and crumbled away.

Where can I get replacements? I saw that they are sold at https://applerescueofdenver.com/pro...ple-ii/apple-iie-motherboard-clips-standoffs/ but are currently not in stock. Plus I live in Europe and wondered if they are standard parts that you can buy somewhere.

At some point most AT boards were using those kind of plastic units,

Yes but the Apple IIe has rectangular holes where they must fit through. And the bottom is a circle that sits flush with the case. I really wonder if those are standard parts.

at some point i was able to repair the same issue with those kind of parts, glue was used in the process to keep the standoff at the right place.

I believe the //e and ][+ used the same bits.
