| IIe motherboard standoffs (plastic clips) |
Posted by: Mirokai on 2021-11-19 07:16:48 Hello guys. I had to remove the motherboard in a IIe to address the corrosion below it.
Unfortunately some of the plastic standoffs were very brittle and crumbled away.
Where can I get replacements? I saw that they are sold at https://applerescueofdenver.com/pro...ple-ii/apple-iie-motherboard-clips-standoffs/ but are currently not in stock. Plus I live in Europe and wondered if they are standard parts that you can buy somewhere. |

https://sgcdn.startech.com/005329/media/products/gallery_large/standoff.Main.jpg Yes but the Apple IIe has rectangular holes where they must fit through. And the bottom is a circle that sits flush with the case. I really wonder if those are standard parts. |
Posted by: bibilit on 2021-11-19 12:11:36 at some point i was able to repair the same issue with those kind of parts, glue was used in the process to keep the standoff at the right place. |
