I acquired 2 non-working iMac G3 350Mhz slot loaders At VCF east this year. For one of them, the computer chimes then the HDD and CD drive startup as normal but within a few seconds the computer shuts off.
I can here the CRT powering up, and everything sounds normal. Until it shuts off which it makes this ball dropping into a little bit of water noise (Best way I can describe it).
The other computer looks like it was once a parts machine. It's missing the optical drive, EMI shield, some screws, etc. So I can get parts from it to assemble 1 fully working computer.
So if anyone has any ideas on what broke in this computer, that would be very appreciated.
