Which size Hard Disk Jumper Caps do I need?
Posted by: mikes-macs on 2021-10-16 18:08:30
I just acquired several Quantum SCSI hard disk drives I'd like to use and I need to find the right Jumper Caps for the ID to be set to an ID other than "0". I'm just not sure which size jumper caps to buy. These are the really tiny ones that you need a magnifying glass and tweezers to handle. Well I do.... The little tiny caps that set the SCSI ID. I have several of the ones for more modern drives like the Western Digital Drives etc.. But these Quantum's are tiny.
Could someone please let me know the size to buy or point me in the right direction?
Thanks in Advance.

Sounds like they might be 1.27mm or 0.05" pitch.

Lots and lots of people on eBay and elsewhere sell bags of mixed jumpers. Just grab one of those and you're probably set for life. Until you get the itch to color code your jumpers, then you end up buying multi-color packs. And then the kind with the useful pull tabs. And then ....

After doing some searching at supplier sites, I believe you're right about 1.27mm. Also the mixed bag sounds like a good idea. Thanks for the Help
