| Fowarding internet to Se/30 Asante? |
Posted by: K55 on 2016-04-01 19:17:03 I've looked at the comprehensive macintosh networking guide and I've managed to ping my Se/30 through a basic forwarded connection,
but I haven't figured out how to correctly set up MacTCP to get the Se/30 on the internet. I'm currently using manual, type C, and the ip assigned from my unix box.
Gateway is 0.0.0.0 and the domain setting is blank.
Is there something in the default gateway/dns settings that I'm missing? I assume someone on here has tried something similar.
The whole point of this is to make the setup wireless so that I don't have to worry about running a 50 foot cat 5 cable 😛 .
-Thanks

Posted by: rsolberg on 2016-04-01 19:31:29 The Gateway address will need to be set. Depending on your forwarding configuration, it should be the LAN IP address of your router (192.168.0.1 is a common example) or the IP address of your UNIX box. I recommend setting your DNS server to your ISP's or Google ( 8.8.8.8 )
