Wanted: Front Bezel for MDD G4 Zip Drive

I recently purchased a 1.25Ghz G4 MDD (FW400 Edition) for my natively booting OS 9 needs.

I'd like to stick a Fujitsu Magneto Optical drive in there, and to do that a Zip drive bezel would be useful. If you have one, please PM me.

Was that a thing? The drive doors have no way to open on their own, how would you get a Zip disk inside? Is it an entire replacement of the door?

Sorry, thought I'd replied. Apple never offered a Zip upgrade for the MDD, so iomega cooked up their own. It is indeed a replacement for the entire mirrored bezel. I've documented it here:

iomega Zip 750MB ATAPI Drive (for G4 MDD)

A WTB request for an MDD Zip Bezel was made in the TP. Apple never offered a Zip upgrade, so iomega cooked one up for themselves. So I've documented it here. AFAIK they're scarce as hen's teeth. The only reason I have one is that a good friend here who I fear is no longer with us had...

Does it include instructions for how to change out the bezel? I've got a machine with one in it for Mr. Fahrenheit, I just need to pull it out of the (otherwise dead) machine. I can't imagine it's too hard, but hints are always welcome 🙂
