The chap is trying to play a game, but it crashes. I suspect it's incompatible with the system I have installed on the SCSI drive.
It's running System 3.
Like most games and software, it has the system software it needs on the floppy disk image. How do I get it to boot from the FloppyEmu? The computer automatically boots from the SCSI disk, and if you hold down the mouse button, the FloppyEmu doesn't seem to load correctly for you to select the floppy image.
If you select the image while booted, then restart, won't it "eject" the floppy before restarting?
| Posted by: bigmessowires on 2016-03-23 18:06:49 Normally I have no trouble selecting the desired floppy disk from the Floppy Emu menu before the machine starts to boot from SCSI. If it happened too fast, wouldn't you have the same problem when trying to boot from a real floppy disk?
Holding down the mouse button sends repeated eject commands to all floppy drives, so I don't think that will help.
You could also boot from SCSI, and navigate the Floppy Emu menu to the desired disk image. Then restart the computer from the Special menu (or reset switch) and immediately press the Emu's button to mount the chosen disk.
| Posted by: olePigeon on 2016-03-24 08:15:36 I insert the floppy as I turn it on, pretty much simultaneously.
I just realized how I could fix it, I could add a start delay to the SCSI2SD. Unfortunately, the guy using it doesn't know much about electronics. He's a Pop Culture fanatic, but not a computer guy. So taking it apart and extracting the SCSI2SD would be worrisome.
However, I think the Restart and Emu button combo should work.
