Macintosh Classic with horizontal interference
Posted by: Plasticoat on 2021-02-06 07:25:49
Hi all,

this has been totally recapped, analogue and logic, but I’m getting what only can be described as interference on screen, both sides.

I expect you’ll tell me it’s a cold joint somewhere, I just cannot narrow it down,

any help would be much appreciated,

thanks

What is a PPI Phier?

I think Phier is the brand name on the trim-pot 🙂

I have the same problem, what lead you to PP1 ?

Not being sarcastic , the compact Mac forum, I did a search and from what I remember I was kinda pointed in that direction .

you may want to de solder pp1 and apply fresh solder, It cannot hurt, I now replace as I have a small batch at hand so have made it part of the routine 👍
