| Email on 7.6.1 |
Posted by: Syntho on 2021-01-26 09:18:13 I got email working on os8.6 using classilla but in netscape 4.8 on 7.6.1 it doesn't work. How are you using email on system 7?
I happen to have a Synology nas that could help with this problem.

Posted by: MrFahrenheit on 2021-01-27 01:57:12 I think one of the problems will be that most email servers in this decade require SSL security certificates, which older systems and apps don’t support.
I’m running OS X 10.4.11 and even with that I have to constantly click through dialog boxes to confirm security exceptions for sending and receiving email from my own Mac Mini mail server running OS X Server.

Posted by: Syntho on 2021-01-27 09:21:27 I have a Synology nas so I wonder if that could be what handles it. I know very little about that a stuff. Gonna do some reading.

Posted by: Syntho on 2021-01-29 07:15:57 What if I have a web server and domain? Could I configure something in cpanel so that I could access email without all the ssl settings?
