Posted by: zerobotman on 2016-03-20 19:16:05 I was looking at the link below and and thinking it might be hackable for classic macs. my only concern would be the possible need for the driver cd. also the fact that it's for PC instead of mac but I wouldn't doubt there could be some pin mods for that.

Posted by: Elfen on 2016-03-20 19:50:42 FloppyEmu does the same thing, except with Thumb Drive it uses SD Cards. If you talk to BMOWs and Douggg, who knows if one can be made adapted for Thumb Drives? This would open up a lot of various media for the Mac through the floppy port.

Posted by: NJRoadfan on 2016-03-21 06:19:54 Just one of many of the various Gotek floppy emulator clones that is out there. They are for MFM/Shugart floppy interfaces only and requires the USB drive to be partitioned into multiple floppy drive sized partitions. The much more refined HxC floppy emulator is a better choice for the application though (uses actual images on USB drive). The HxC firmware is also available as an upgrade for the Gotek.
