has anyone heard of this before?  It looks like personal PPP server for older mac systems.  Can't find it in any of the usual sites http://web.archive.org/web/19990427121312/http://www.fcr.com/productlist.html#LinkUPPP!TurboPS

I hadn't heard of it.  That multi-port PPP server sounds cool.

Finally found the company that makes this as part of dusting on my work with ARA PS 3.0's PPP features.

Now to dig through the archive and see what I can find.

Apple's Multiport Server came with a 6 port serial card so you could attach up to 6 modems or (ideally) ISDN lines. But it supports more than that, and gives an example of an 8150 with 3 cards for a total of 18 serial ports. That's a lot o' networking. 🙂

You can than bridge the product and manage the ports via Apple Internet Router. Pretty cool.
