| missing capacitors in IISI PSU by Plessey |
Posted by: ironborn65 on 2020-12-06 05:18:37 Hi everyone,
I'm trying to resurrect the Plessey PSU of my Mac IISI, it seems to be rare, Bruce has only the Sony one, and I do not find many information out there.
It's rather tight and more complex then the Sony one.
I need to admit that I lost two capacitors in my process, no one to blame but me 🙁 .
You can find them at the bottom of the pic named C22 and C18
Can some one help me please?
I don't find references or schematics
I send a message to a guy here who mentioned repairing one two years ago.

Posted by: David Goodson on 2020-12-06 11:16:51 I have a Magnetek which I’ve been trying to open. It uses rivets instead of screws.
Does yours have rivets and how did you open it?
If I can open mine, I could see if the board is similar and maybe which caps you’re missing.

how did you open it? Unfortunately, I think the only thing to do is to drill out all of the rivets. That was the only way I was able to open my magnetek PSU.

No rivets for me, they are used only for the grounds wires.
I found the capacitors!
The N4007 diode is conducting both ways as it happened to
I'm trying with it now
