| Looking for dinosaur games - System 7 |
Posted by: LaPorta on 2020-11-26 18:15:26 Does anyone know of any nice dinosaur-based games that will run under System 7? My five year old daughter just loves dinosaurs, and I wanted to set something up on my kids computer for her for Christmas.

Posted by: John8520 on 2020-11-26 18:26:20 I grew up playing Dino Park Tycoon in system 7 as a kid. It's a wonderful game with great music. Should run like a champ on any 68k or PPC mac (though it needs 256 colors).

I too, really enjoyed this game! If anyone likes business/management games and/or dinosaurs this is sure to be a fun game. Beyond that I only know of Nanosaur which I think requires 8.6/9.

Posted by: sfiera on 2020-11-26 21:28:07 I remember spending a while with Dinosaur Safari. I would’ve been somewhat older. I think some of the more aggressive dinosaurs can give you a scare. MG claims it’s 68k, though the system requirements must be on the high side.
I also can’t help but think of this:

Posted by: LaPorta on 2020-11-27 04:01:57 Very cool game! I will have to check it out. Regrettably, I think it might be somewhat too complex for my 5-year old if it is anything like Roller Coaster Tycoon. I was thinking maybe something a bit more like click and learn, that sort of stuff, or coloring. Not sure if it exists.

Posted by: chelseayr on 2020-11-27 18:24:49 there was 'microsoft dinosaurs' too, I don't recall playing it but a quick look at the screenshots I could find suggests it does have an interactive learning abstract to it for any young ages nevertheless?

There are much more dinosaur things than I had realized. Good idea looking it up that way. I was just going off memory.
