Posted by: JuergenF on 2020-10-20 12:59:11 Ups new in this forum ... can someone tell me the capacity etc. values for this RIFA guy ? It's from a Mac II Astec PSU and I want to replace it ...
I couldn't find any PSU schematics or infos up to know.

You are right the PSU should work without (I didn't try it yet).
But it would be nice a) to know the values b) bring the PSU in the original status.
In general it would be nice to get more information about the PSU in Mac II for 110V and 220V countries.
By the way my PSU is for 220V ...
thanks again

Posted by: cheesestraws on 2020-10-21 03:05:42 It probably is a good thing to replace; things will work without it, but it's not just there for show. And, if nothing else, the detonations add some excitement to life... ;-) That said, I don't know what the original value is, I'm afraid

Posted by: max1zzz on 2020-10-21 04:33:37 Now I'm talking about PSU's I replaced the Rifa's in 6+ years ago here, but I *think* the Rifa in my one was .01uf and I replaced it with a .015uf (As I didn't have a .01uf in stock at the time)
