Posted by: History_SE30_Dude on 2020-10-17 03:47:39 I think the rest button on my SE/30 may have gone bad. Does anyone know a part number for it if I end up having to solace it? I hope a solder joint has just come loose.

Posted by: maceffects on 2020-10-17 05:22:02 Are you sure the plastic tabs going from the outer button button didn't break? That would be more common. However, if you do have bad buttons on the logic board I don't know that you'll find one sold seperatly and I don't think its a common button. However, rest assured knowing there are tons of these boards that suffered battery damage with these parts still being good 🙂

Never had any issue with it previously in any board I worked with.
The item itself is the kind of switch you will find in any accessory of that era, and still made today.
Used one lately :

Posted by: History_SE30_Dude on 2020-10-17 23:45:00 Thanks for the suggestions. I pulled out the plastic arms and discovered it had actually worked its way out just enough as to not engage the switch. I should remember by now to check the simplest possibilities first.
