I'm very happy with my find! A bunch of computers, some with boxes, some without, and some boxes with everything except the actual device. Posted by: fabian on 2020-10-03 03:01:53 He he. Yes, sadly. I've been contacted by SO many people who has a lot of cool stuff for sale, but I can't find the Macintosh SE/30. But soon. I'll start with going through these properly. I guess the Classic should have the capacitors replaced to start with. If anyone has any other basic ideas of what should be done I'm very interested! My plan is to install Compact Flash disks in the PowerBook, PowerPC, iBook and iMac.

Just realized I can boot the iMac G4 straight into System 9 instead of OSX 🙂 I really need to find a Asanté SCSI Passthrough with DB25 so I can connect my Classic (and later my SE/30) to ethernet. Right now I have a load of cables for the Powerbook's weird connector and none for the DB25.

If the board is an Apple II+, it might have been an upgrade the original owner had Apple or an aftermarket party do at some point. It wasn't uncommon for Apple IIs to get their boards upgraded to newer revisions like the IIe. I believe there was even a IIGS board upgrade for the more traditional II models. Can anyone tell anything about the computer and the cards? I have not yet started it as I don't have a converter for 115v (We have 230v here in Sweden). Is it worth fixing up? Are you sure it's 115V? The Eurocolor Card would seem to imply it was from a PAL country, the majority of which are 220V-240V countries. If not, then someone must have imported it way back in the day and permanently used a power converter with it. And yeah, any 8 bit computer is worth fixing up these days, they're rather desirable. Especially an Apple II in Europe, they're really not that common here from what I can see.
Posted by: fabian on 2020-10-24 11:01:09 I thought that A2S2 meant it was an Apple II+, but I don't know. Serial number is: A2S2 01511: Copyright is 1978 It's dated 79 28 i think. It meants it's made week 28 of 1979? The power indicator does not go down when i try to press it. I read somewhere that this is one way to tell what model it is. It's definitely 115v. The previous owner said he ran it on a converter. He said it is an Apple II but I'm not sure.
Posted by: bibilit on 2020-10-24 11:16:46 The power switch doesn’t go down, Just a bulb cover. Cards are not all useful. The Epson is a printer card, the small one also probably. The Videx I guess a video card ? the most useful is the Disk II interface card if you have the appropriate disk drive. Often Apple II PSUs can be converted easily from 115 to 220 volts
