Macintosh Portable - keyboard connector pins to short
Posted by: at0z on 2020-09-29 07:45:52
Hi All

I've watched a number of YouTube Portable Rescue videos and seen a couple of people shorting pins on the keyboard connector to start/wake it up when the board is on the bench. I could just reattach the keyboard but I'd like to join the Cool Kids Gang - I can never see which pins get shorted. Anybody care to share ? Or which ones NOT to short if there's a choice ;-)

Thank you all for a treasure trove, hopefully my own Portable will soon be feeling more itself and can take it's place next to a Color Classic and an Apple Network Server 700....

I'd imagine shorting the X, Y grid for any of the letter key connections would work, it's like the PB100 in that regard, no?
