Does anybody know if PowerBook 2400c keys are swappable with IBM Thinpad keys? I.e. from a Thinkpad 5xx keyboard.

I seriously doubt it. The 2400c has an unusually small key pitch, and I'm not aware of any ThinkPads (or much else) that match it. Even with matching pitch, chances of them actually being swappable, and looking right once installed, are slim to none. If you want third-party keyboards, though, a number of them were made for the 2400c.
