Arduino - KBD Controller and possible Video Scaler?
Posted by: Trash80toHP_Mini on 2020-07-14 02:03:41
Dunno anything about these things yet, but working on that. I found a board with what should be way more than enough I/O for converting a KBD mattrix to USB. Wat's really interesting about is the Analog I/O. Is it possible to do a simple video scaler on this platform? Doubtful it can output a VGA signal, how avout DVI?

I guess I should also ask if doing a key matrix to USB controller is possible/practical?  ISTR seeing Arduino used for that function. I know this board  is crazy overkill for that, but if I've gotta start somewhere, might as well find an I/O intensive, 5.5V compatible package.  This one should work, using ribbon cable looped over and back underneath the peripheral connectors, fitting snug as a bug in a rug underneath the KBD of a Mac Portable on a cable converter shield. :approve:

Or I'm out of my depth along with being out of my mind in the AM  .  .  .  as usual.
