| Macintosh SE/30 replacement kit |
Posted by: mc9625 on 2016-02-21 00:03:41 Do you know where I can find a capacitors kit (I mean every capacitors for the SE/30 all at once)?
Is this a good shopping list (from another thread here, not sure if is the "definitive" list)? :
10x 47µF (16V) - C1, C3, C4, C5, C7, C8, C9, C10, C12, C13
1x 1µF (50V) - C6
Replace with Axial Electrolytic:
1x 220µF (16V) - C11
1x 470µF (16V) - C2
I will go for recapping with a friend of mine (I have all thumbs - I guess you say so - but he has good soldering skill).
And I would like to find a replacement for the battery too. Which is the right model for the SE/30? And any good place for online shop (with international shipping... I live in Italy!)
Thanks (and wish me good luck!)

The battery is 1/2 AA 3,6 Volts (probably a little tricky to find, but if you have not right away, won't miss it) you don't need a battery to start the SE/30.

Posted by: Elfen on 2016-02-21 07:36:56 Last I checked Element 14 sells caps. It's known as Newark in the USA but as Element 14 in the UK and Europe. I'm usually buying hard to find Raspberry Pi stuff from them.

Posted by: Paralel on 2016-02-22 10:25:56 I just leave batteries out unless they're necessary for the machine to work. I'm retarded and would forget they're in there and the battery would just detonate eventually.

Posted by: SE30_Neal on 2016-02-23 03:03:07 Lol, they should be ok for 5-10 years anyway so its hardly hard work to maintain lol 🙂

Posted by: Paralel on 2016-02-23 13:27:14 My point was unless you see it at certain intervals, good luck remembering in 5-10 years.
