LC 630 DOS-Compatible "Adapter Board"

I've had an LC 630 forever that I got from a school auction. It's a DOS-compatible model but the DOS card isn't complete. The board that's missing is the "DOS-Compatible Adapter Board" on the LC 630 Service Source documentation (the one that plugs into the PDS slot), but I can't find a model number for it anywhere. Does anyone know what the Apple designation for this board is so I can hopefully hunt one down?

To hunt one down (I'm not being negative) the chances is very slim to find the adapter board.

You're better off getting complete board.

Out of curiosity, what exactly are the differences between the DOC-compatible 630s and the regular ones. Would the DOS compatibility card work also in the regular 630s or are these missing some critical components?

The non DOS Compatible board has missing components on the board - I can show you the difference if you like.

AFAIK, the Q630 is missing the short edge card connector at the back near the battery. That's for video shenanigans. I don't have the Apple version, but my board has a little edge card (to edge card?)  drop down from the second level to that connector. WQAG would be that any LC with that connector might be compatible?

LC630 DOS boards have a Pair of SIMM Slots as opposed to a single slot on standard boards.

Here's my 630 board. I can see the "missing" SIMM socket, but what are the other missing components?

A DOS card recently sold on eBay and it got me thinking; is it remotely possible to convert a non-DOS compatible board to be compatible, e.g. by adding the missing internal video connector?

The extra SIM slot looks easy enough to add and may not even be necessary to have in the first place.

If I'm not mistaken, LC 580 boards have both. I wrote a thread about adding a dos board to my LC580.
1
