Mac Classic with SCSI2SD 0003/000E Sad Mac error
Posted by: LaPorta on 2020-05-14 09:20:55
Hi everyone,

A Mac Classic I set up for my nephew with a SCSI2SD has worked well for a few months, and now his mom tells me that he gets the Sad Mac xxxx0003/xxxx000E code on startup. My understanding is that is something SCSI related. I can't really do anything with the machine as it is in Canada right now. I might have access to it in a few months. Any suggestions of what he could do with it in the meantime? Is this a driver/software related thing most likely?

„RAM test failure while testing bank B“

Could be a failure with the RAM on the board.

I'm an idiot. The code was actually xxxx000F/xxxx0003. Sorry for the misinformation.

Yes that is a problem with the hdd. The classic can boot from the  ROM (CMD+OPT+X+O ) or with a disk. Perhaps with a disk a repair of the SCSI2SD is possible.
