Mac SE with db37 connector
Posted by: Bendix on 2020-05-14 07:16:59
Here in Germany we have a 2nd and cost free ebay platform for private ads called "ebay Kleinanzeigen". Today I stumbled there about a Mac SE with a db37 connector on the rear, where typically pds expansion cards sit. Any ideas what card might that be? The text does not say.

Hey! I think it's the Mac SE Bus Card  https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/apple-computer-mac-se-bus-pc-drive-169674199

That’s exactly what it is, it’s fun little card.

Wow, that was fast, guys, Thanks a lot! To clarify (forgive my ignorance), this card is the internal controller card to an external Apple PC 5,25" drive for 360K, dos formatted, Floppys. According to wikipedia Apple made these in order to compete better with the IBM dominated industry PC world (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disk_II#Apple_PC_5.25"_Drive)
