Broken SE MB Modifications
Posted by: Dannyshing27 on 2020-04-24 13:28:50 Hi All, I recently took my Macintosh SE FDHD down from the loft to play around with and it decided not to function. On inspecting the logic board I noticed a few modifications that looked out of place , anyone have any idea what they are? Also I have sad Mac 0000000E/ 0000FFFF if anyone knows what that means?
Posted by: bibilit on 2020-04-25 00:53:41 The jumper is there to switch from 1Mb to 4Mb. IIRC the second generation of boards had this, probably upgraded at some point. The early ones had a resistor to cut. Don’t see anything else weird.

Turns out the ram slot wasn't holding a SIMM correctly, so I had to do some bodging with cable ties
