LCD artifacts beyond repairability?
Posted by: bengi3 on 2020-04-16 11:08:26
I am definitively sorting our sone busted stuff:

1) vinegar syndrome and liquid crystals leakage (vinegar syndrome could be fixed by replacing the polarized film, but this specific LCD had also the purple spiderweb called LCD rot: after taking apart the whole LCD and removal of plastic polarized film I realized that the spiderweb is in the glass, its a well known defect:

2) dark pixels

3) half screen reddish or with artifacts

Are #2 and #3 beyond repairability?
