I was wondering if the same was possible with the irda port. I have beet thinking of getting an imac as a bridge machine to transfer new and old software but it would also be nice to do serial transfer (griffen iport) i have seen rev c images with the port holes. Does anyone know if it works?
| Posted by: Bunsen on 2020-05-27 20:47:51 I do remember back in the day that this was possible (hijacking the iRDA port for serial) and that people achieved it, but IIRC it was only on the Rev A. I might be confusing that last restriction with the floppy port though, which was definitely only on the Rev A. IIRC, the port holes are there, but the support components are not.
