By the way, what is the Apple II doing on the wall? You're right. I thought it was an air-conditioner until I looked more closely.
I suppose the answer is being pretty.

By the way, what is the Apple II doing on the wall? This is my very first Apple //e I got a few years back 😉 due I only really use my Platinum IIe with DuoDisk this one is "obsolete" and well, I thought it just looks cool this way too 😛

Is that a Sanyo luggable partially disassembled in the second to last picture? Well it's sadly no Sanyo - it's a 286 AT clone computer I got in parts a while ago 😉

|
Posted by: EvieSigma on 2019-12-12 21:10:31 It's eerily reminiscent of the Sanyo MBC-775, an early 8088 based luggable. Though that machine had vertical floppy drives instead of horizontal.

Posted by: MJ313 on 2019-12-13 05:43:25 I like the Mac Classic battery-explody board pinned to the side of the bookshelf
Nonworking wrecked boards still look cool to me and imo make great artwork. I wonder how many of us do this? I have a sheet of plywood in my basement I stick them to.

Yeah 😀 fun fact, I really tried on that Classic board :/ even restored some traces and CPU pins with wires...but didn't help much - now it's a 'classy' art thing on the wall 😉
I did the same with some of my Lisa boards and an early Macintosh 128k board too - but good thing here is, they all still work after their repair 😛

I do this too. I even started to frame them instead of hanging them onto the wall just the way they are.

Posted by: Bolle on 2019-12-13 13:08:50 Indeed. I just finished this... it's going to look great on the wall (but also was a real PITA to get done)

Posted by: Trash80toHP_Mini on 2019-12-13 18:31:02 That's beautiful! Makes me wanna clear off my (solder side cap corroded) 840av board, electroplate it chrome or something to mount it in a frame with LED sidelighting for extra pizzaz. Backlighting the thru-holes would be very cool as well.
@MarNo84 I love that Lisa2 front bezel you have hanging at an angle over your bench. That's the only bit of Lisa in my collection, can't figure out how to best display or hack it, but that's a great way to store it!
