I've got a mystic (575) Color Classic that has been acting up lately. I think i've got the OS squared away, but I'm noticing my front hardware buttons don't work. Is there an extension or anything that needs to be installed for those to be activated? System 7.5 currently

Are you talking about the on off key on your keyboard? Remember, you need to have the switch on the back of the CC turned on before that will work. Will the machine boot? Will no keys on the keyboard not work? Or are you talking about the volume control and contrast control on the box it self? Do you get a beep on boot? Will the light on the font of the CC come on?

Ah, should have been more clear. I mean the volume/brightness buttons on the front. It boots fine.

That is about the only thing that worked when I made the LC 575 board upgrade and did the 640 X 480 mod.
I am sorry, I am of no help. The light comes on, right?
I wonder if both plug in some place and a plug came loose?
Others here probably know what to do next.
I will be interested to learn about this.

Check the ribbon cable connecting the button board to the harness with a multimeter on continuity mode. If that checks out, replace the caps on the logic board?
