| Making a 20SC disk bootable |

Hey forum, I've installed system 6 from the original disks onto a genuine SC20, everything works except I can't seem to boot from it. What's the trick? SCSI ID is 3.

What Mac are you trying to boot?
If it's a Plus I think the ID needs to be 0.
But I could be wrong. 😉

If it's a Plus I think the ID needs to be 0. Plus should boot any ID except 7.
Maz, Check your Startup Device CDEV if on an SE or newer machine.
Make sure the drive is powered on before you switch on the Mac.
Did you install System 6 with the same Mac you are now trying to boot it with?

I may be thinking of the early Plus's with the buggy SCSI.
Or I may not know what I'm remembering... 😉
Either way, I believe the drive needs to be terminated as well.
