| Thread for anything about the LC series (continued) |
Posted by: Windows XP on 2019-08-05 08:48:01 A few days ago, I created a thread about what would be a good old Macintosh for me to have, and eventually it turned into an LC product thread.
But I hated when Cory5412 locked the thread, because the thread was full of posts.
I'm continuing this thread now.
I really like the LC series.
System 6.0.8 for Windows is now in a separate thread.

Posted by: johnklos on 2019-08-05 09:12:38 That separate thread is gone. You can't just post a link to a Windows executable without any description and not expect people to be a bit suspicious.
Also, it appears to have a ROM file, which is not allowed here.

Posted by: Cory5412 on 2019-08-05 09:20:12 It's been a busy morning. I hid the other thread. I don't want the potential that someone will download a file for their modern computer that could be malicious.
I'm less worried about someone posting a link and at this point about posting old software that Apple clearly isn't interested in taking any legal action about (see GS/OS 6.0.3+) and more about someone 'brand new' posting such a link.

Posted by: Trash80toHP_Mini on 2019-08-05 10:01:04 This topic seems too vague to me to be useful.
We've got this entire forum dedicated to the LC series (and Performa variants) for you to study. The lineup is expansive, so if you want to ask about any particular portion of the LC series you should probably narrow this discussion to the segment you've become interested in acquiring. A good place to make breaks would be by processor, between the pizza boxen/AIO versions (with provision for CD) and especially between those and the more expandable, CD equipped Quadra 630 form factor spinoffs.
We have entire threads like this dedicated to specific models.

Posted by: AwkwardPotato on 2019-08-05 12:03:12 I don't mean to be rude, but you haven't created some "System 6 for Windows" thing; you've bundled Mini vMac, an open source emulator that most, if not all of the members here are well aware of, with a copyrighted ROM/OS, property of Apple. It's hardly anything new.

Worth noting: OP has been banned for ban evasion. Yea the way OP wrote was very familiar to some other notable previously active accounts.
