| Got any LC thru LC475/Q605 and TattleTech handy? |
Posted by: Trash80toHP_Mini on 2019-06-15 20:36:34 If so, could you run the NuBus/PDS report for me and post the info? Curious to see if Internal Video is mapped to Slot $E as it is on several other Macs?
thanks in advance,
jt
p.s. curious about the Q630 and LC6XX menagerie as well.

Posted by: Fizzbinn on 2019-07-07 13:36:54 At least for the two I have it appears interval video is mapped to slot $00:
Quadra 605
NuBus/PDS Slot#
$00 = MEMCjr Built-In Video
$0E = Farallon EtherMac LC-TP (what I have installed in the PDS slot...)
LC III
NuBus/PDS Slot#
$00 = Macintosh AA Built-In Video
$0E = Apple Ethernet LC Twisted-Pair Card (what I have installed in the PDS slot...)

Interesting that IIsi Video shows up at $0E when it's based on the same RBV/MDU controller setup as the IIci? IIci Video shows up at $00, no? From the IIci DevNote is sounds like the Vampire Video setup of the IIsi was lamed by buffering only the first 1MB of Bank A in terms ersatz video memory, but superior to that of the IIci in terms of of avoiding the performance penalty of the IIci setup. The same MDU/RBV combo buffers/sucks the blood out of Bank A in its entirety during video operations in the IIci. The more pixels a/o more depth of color slows IIci memory operations with every increase in demand.
Can anyone confirm that IIci internal video shows up as part of the motherboard at $00?
