But what about in the case of SmartPort emulation? Would the FloppyEmu still need to be connected to the internal floppy connector to boot from a SmartPort image? Didn't see this addressed in the manual unless I overlooked it.

| Posted by: Gorgonops on 2019-06-10 19:35:18 My recollection is that the IIc's ROM always checks the internal floppy first, but if it's empty it will check for an external bootable SmartPort device, and boot from it. (I need to get around to upgrading my IIc from ROM255 to try it myself.) Here's a BMOW blog post that confirms:
