3D print rubber feet for IIci/IIcx?
Posted by: Von on 2019-06-07 18:13:10
Hi All,

Has anyone tried to 3D print feet for your IIci?  When I got mine it had none and they appear to be hard to find...

This seller sold his/her last set

I think @360alaska made some for the Quadra 700 that might work.

I did not print feet for computer, but other parts of TPU (polyurethane). It is like rubber and could be used for the feet. I made a replacement bumper for an old harddiskdrive, that had a sticky rubber bumper.

@Johnnya101 ran off a batch of rubberish Q700 feets recently. Devolving that model to flat format would be easily done.

Compact Mac replacement pads like those on Macdrone's ProtoMac would be a good project.

@Trash80toHP_Mini I made custom clear feet for the SE which could be used for other cases.  It was a really obscure size that no one made.  These are much improved too and have 3m backing.

Nice! It's too bad that the Apple logo'd feets would be out of place on SE/SE/30, but solid clear better matches your clear display case anyway.

I don't see them on your store. Are you still able to source them? You're right about them being an odd unavailable size...

These were bundled with the clear SE cases rather than offered for sale.

I've 3D printed some feet in TPU (supposedly shore hardness 95A) and used spray adhesive on the bottom. They're about as rubbery as I'd want, decent grip/flex without being too soft.
