| Strange SE/30 Card | |
| Posted by: maceffects on 2019-05-01 16:48:28 I starting going through some of the many SE/30s I ordered for fitment testing today (finally). And discovered a strange card that had Ethernet and color monitor connector. I opened it up and it’s a Radius 030 Pivit Color Card, lacking extra memory (worth maxing out?). But it has a card below it that looks like it provides the pass-though and Ethernet in one card... Anyone ever see this combo before? on a related note the anode cap on the monitor of the machine appears to be leaking. Anyone see that before? Nothing shows up on the screen when powered. Just trying to diagnose the issue.    | |

It seems to just be a crapshoot which one they used, as I’ve seen both used on SEs and SE/30s. Shame all of mine have the Astec, as those things are murder to take apart and recap. The Sony is better made and way easier to service from what I’ve heard. I may swap a few of them with Sonys someday. | |
| Posted by: CC_333 on 2019-05-02 18:58:19 Hmm, OK. Virtually all SE/30s I've seen used the power supply with the platinum plug/switch, save for maybe a couple (and those were upgraded SEs), but I'll admit my sample size is somewhat limited compared to others around here. c | |
