All the PBs of this series that I've seen on ebay, including the one I picked up, don't include batteries. I'm planning to build a new pack and would like to have a case for the pack that will fit in the battery bay. Therefore, does anyone know where I can get ahold of either old, leaky battery packs I can clean out and use again, or empty cases?
Alternately, I've noticed that there's a photoresistor that points into the battery bay which I assume is either to sense the mere existence of a battery pack, or the pack actually has an LED which switches on when the pack is charged. Does anyone know how this works? Does a battery pack need its own over-/under-charge circuitry?

I still have my casings, probably should get them out and start making 3d prints of them. I may also still have some circuitry, but I would try if you could find the schematics, I think there are some lurking here.
| Posted by: tastyrerun on 2019-08-22 14:57:48 I've got a few around. I have been thinking about doing a 3D scan of the case for 3D printing. I've repacked one and there is no smart circuitry in there, just batteries and a couple thermal fuses. Has anybody got 3D printable files of old Mac parts? Is there a resource somewhere?
