| Setting up a multiple boot system (6,7 & 8) on a SE/30 with a clean ROM |
Posted by: Matias on 2019-04-08 13:39:42 I am working on revamping a SE/30. Installed a clean ROM (from GGLabs) upped the RAM to 128MB, installed a super silent fan ( Noctua NF-A6x25) and now I am working on the SCSI2D. I got it up and working great with System 7.5.5. But I must have brain fog because I can’t remember how to partition the SD card!
i want to configure the system so I can boot up with any of the 3 systems. So I will need 4 or 5 partitions. Thanks for the help!

Posted by: jupo on 2019-04-10 11:02:04 You can always do the bless/unbless trick to have multiple System folders on one partition. I have an external recovery drive set up that way so I can pre-select a certain System version to boot before I hook it up to the computer in question.

Posted by: Crutch on 2019-04-10 19:12:51 I recommend System Picker. It can switch between Systems 6 and 7 flawlessly (I use with 6.0.8, 7.0.1, and 7.5.5 on one partition). I haven’t tried with 8 though. http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/system-picker

Posted by: Matias on 2019-04-11 03:18:22 I think I will go with a partition for each System and use System Picker to switch - to create the partitions did you use Lido?
