| Posted by: bubbleman7546 on 2019-03-17 14:26:50 Hey everyone! Been a long time since I've found myself with anything interesting, been out of the classic mac game for a minute. Found myself a tidy little SE FD/HD with keyboard, mouse, and telecom adapter at a flea market. Got it home, it boots up but only boots to the screen you see with the cursor, and after about 30 seconds, the screen starts to dim on its own before finally going completely dark. Would like to restore it, as it's in pretty good shape - only missing one foot, no cracks in the case, not too yellowed and only a tiny serial number etching in the top of the case. This model is a bit nostalgic for me because one of the computer labs in elementary school had a few of these. Hoping someone can maybe shed some light on the display issue and if it's fixable before I spend too much time cleaning it up. Meanwhile I'll be looking for some of the old software floppys that I know my pops has. Stoked on this little find, my first compact classic Mac, should be a fun little project!  | |
