| Help Identifying SE/30 NIC |
Posted by: Sunoo on 2019-01-02 07:28:58 I just got this NIC for an SE/30 that was sold as working, but I can't figure out who made it, so I can't get the right drivers. The seller claims to not know either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Posted by: Sunoo on 2019-01-02 08:19:30 Are you saying this won't work in Mac OS? Or just that I need A/UX to identify the card?

i think I have a card that looks the same. I used regular old Asante drivers and it worked. I’d try using those first, it’s quick and easy to check.

Posted by: Sunoo on 2019-01-02 08:41:03 Any suggestions where to find that? I'm coming up empty in my searches.
|
Posted by: Sunoo on 2019-01-02 09:57:37 I tried the Asante drivers, no luck.
I couldn't find SlotInfo, but I found TattleTech, and it identifies as being made by A-Series?

Posted by: Sunoo on 2019-01-02 10:18:40 Okay, I found another thread where it said to use the Farallon drivers. I had that driver disk on hand, so I tried it, and it seems to be detected correctly now. Now I just need to find an ethernet cable and see if I can convince it to connect.

Posted by: Johnnya101 on 2019-01-02 14:04:34 Yours is very similar to mine. Same components for the most part, just moved around. And what do you know... Mine also says ASERIES V1.0! And it was Farallon I was thinking of, not Asante (as you found out yourself).
Must have been some generic card sold back in the day.
