| Emailing with SE/30 |

Hi, I would like to send mails with my SE / 30, I installed Internet Explorer 4.01 and it works fine but Outlook does not connect with my Gmail mail ....
Is it the fault of Gmail?
Do I have to make another account on an emailer more suited to 68k?
Which ?
I write to you from Spain, from which I can find no answer.
I hope you can help me.

Is it the fault of Gmail? Yes, it is the fault of Gmail for not supporting very very old computers and email clients.
It's also your fault for using a very very old computer and email client! ;-)
You might find another email provider that supports old protocols.

This is something i want to do to and there has been several attempts. It appears there isn’t an email client modern enough to run SSL and authentification so a few people have used raspberry pies as a seriel SSL authentification route, another method is to run your email through another more modern computer on your network And push it through into your SE/30 a program called baton is mentioned. This is the way I’m working towards setting up.

Does IE 4.0 have enough juice to run Squirrel webmail? (this thing https://squirrelmail.org/screenshots.php )
I think it requires HTML 4.0 and nothing else.

I ask because I've been thinking of hosting a webmail server for this very reason.

Joel Hi Joel, I haven’t tried this myself yet as I’m still trying to get my SE/30’s network card working but here’s an old link from Macorchard that explains what it does

So from that i believe baton is an authentification program to allow older email clients to work. if you get it to work let me know? it’s exactly what i want to do with my se/30, doing my emails on it would be lovely.
