| Can't put my Plus case back together... |
Posted by: Nicholassuperfrog on 2018-07-08 08:40:29 Driving me mad! I don't know if the case is warped, or if I'm just not manhandling this thing hard enough, but there's one corner (top left if the mac was standing upright) that just seems like it's not going to ever snap into place.
It shouldn't be this difficult, right? The Classic II I'm working on snapped back together quite easily. Not sure what to do at this point with the Plus.

Thanks, screen is down already though. Does it matter which end goes in first, or is the case supposed to come down at a flat angle?

Posted by: olePigeon on 2018-07-08 17:48:09 @Nicholassuperfrog I had this problem on some compacts and it drove me nuts, but here's likely why: on the inside top-left-rear of the bucket there's a little metal clip that grounds (earths) the outer case with the analog board. It can get dislodged fairly easily and possibly bent. If not positioned correctly or if it's bent and the analog board can't fit correctly, it will keep the rear bucket and front face plate from fully closing.

Posted by: Nicholassuperfrog on 2018-07-09 06:30:12 @olepigeon thank you! I have a feeling that was probably the issue. I ended up just pushing the case together using slightly more force than I had been, so I hope I didn’t dislodge anything or make the problem worse! Not extremely tempted to open this problem child up again... yet.
